My photography explores my version of "the truth" that I see in the world around me. The images I create come from the seemingly insignificant details that make up life. To me these spontaneous instances are the most impulsive and in a way the most important aspects of our daily lives. I capture that little action that happens where, for a split second, it is as if we are unaware of self-consciousness. These moments, put together, are what make up life.     -Rebecca Scampini
